A little about me…

It's always awkward to talk about yourself, but damn, I've achieved some pretty cool things over the last three decades. My passion for art has been with me since childhood, thanks to supportive parents and teachers who encouraged my creative endeavors. After completing my GCSEs, I pursued Art & Design, Photography, and Theatre Studies at the Lace Market School of Art & Design, followed by a Foundation Diploma accredited by the University of the Arts, London (UAL).

After checking off a bucket-list item of mine to work on an American summer camp and the chance to travel the USA, I came back to England where I then embarked on a career as a Graphic Designer & Assistant Marketing Manager at Tramlink Nottingham, where I refined my digital skills, creating a wide array of artwork, including large-scale vinyls, tram wraps, magazines, and brochures that still adorn Nottingham City Centre.

My life took a turn when I (unexpectedly) fell in love with my now husband, David - leading me to move to Ohio. While studying at Sinclair Community College on a student visa, I earned a 4.0 GPA and received a scholarship. However, my passion for work led me to transition to a digital marketing agency upon obtaining my green card. Eventually, I joined Lexis Nexis, finding fulfillment in the legal and sales fields. Despite success, I felt a pull towards entrepreneurship and pursued a career in Real Estate, which has been incredibly rewarding.

Then came 2020, a year of upheaval. The pandemic left me without clients or direction. Real Estate eventually rebounded, but I yearned for more. With extra time at home, I rekindled my love for painting. Working at K12 Tejas Art Gallery, teaching classes, and managing day-to-day operations allowed me to express my creativity. I also led mural projects in my community and received commissions for my artwork, blending my passion for art with my career in Real Estate. I feel fortunate to have found balance between these two worlds and am grateful for where life has taken me.
